Woodside Golf Club is a family business that has developed over the last ____ years from a small driving range to a successful golf course. The brief was to aid with the future expansion of the facilities with the provision of a new hotel, community sports facilities and some private housing. For a project of this nature, the designs were completed on 3D software with visual impressions produced of the proposals in their setting. A substantial amount of community consultation was undertaken during the design development including meetings with the Parish Council. Details were also proposed to ensure the facilities are always maintained open for community use in the future. The design of the hotel is a rural contemporary style, with a timber frame and glass curtain walling to create a modern building that respects it rural setting. The houses are of a more traditional form to complement other rural housing in the area. At the same time, it will provide social and recreational facilities for the local community. This combined application is a unique example of providing low cost facilities for the community alongside the expansion of a local family business
