We were approached by our clients who had purchased a bungalow on Gough Lane in Knutsford. The brief was to demolish the existing bungalow and construct a new arts and crafts style house on the prominent site in Knutsford. Various modifications were made to the design and a planning application for variation to a condition was submitted. The design is a traditional arts and crafts style with a simple material palette comprising of render stone and anthracite grey timber windows. The interior design is contemporary open plan space with a natural palette of materials. The house includes some unique features including a bespoke media wall, large walkthrough wardrobe en-suite, and bespoke designed helical staircase. Planning consent was obtained and we progressed to details design and obtaining competitive tenders. We worked closely with our client to ensure a construction cost that was within budget. We were appointed to supervise the construction site and the works are now complete and the building occupied.
