James Dale Architects transformed a 1970s end-of-terrace townhouse in Sevenoaks with a full refurbishment and extension. The project increased ground-floor living space, adding a light-filled timber-framed pavilion extension with kitchen, pantry, dining and seating areas opening up to the garden. The former garage now houses a shower room, music room and store, while a reoriented staircase improves circulation. Upstairs features a new living room, home office and master suite linked by a double-height gallery. The top floor holds two equal bedrooms, a family bathroom and roof-terrace access. Encaustic tiles, Accoya cladding and a soft sage palette complete the warm, contemporary feel of the overall extensionl.
