The site was a disused garage court hidden behind a blank wall, and accessed via a narrow laneway. The design solution was to create two new frontages for the site; a terrace of four houses facing Arundel Grove, and a narrow infill house inserted into the King Henry Street terrace. The scheme created five large family houses with generous open space provision, while resolving the site’s intractable security problems. Shortlisted for Housing Design Awards 2012
