New Build
This project was commissioned under Design and Build to Ecospace who are the sister company of IPT Architects. IPT carried out the general design for this project using the flexible modular Ecospace system build for schools and local authorities. The buildings use modern methods of construction and the fast track nature of the projects minimizes disruption to school activities. Eleanor Palmer school is an example of a school extension project in Kentish Town, London, that was required for teacher training purposes and the use of natural materials together with emphasis on natural lighting created an inspiring learning environment. The cedar clad extension is built from structurally insulated panel systems with a sedum planted roof and is heated using an air to air source heat pump. The extension is linked to the main body of the school via an extended roof canopy.
