Subsequent to the completion of a Master Plan in 2012, IID redeveloped the existing 1960s buildings by opening up the courtyard at the centre of the school site to provide a variety of learning spaces of different scales more suited to current curriculum requirements. The proposal delivered additional teaching accommodation through the extension of the classrooms within the main teaching block. A central library and IT facilities delivered additional learning resource space. Adapting the school’s existing building stock reused and recycled space rather than having to demolish and rebuild.
