The Clients wanted to enhance their family home in St Albans. They wanted to improve the entrance and appearance of their property and replace an awkward stair layout. Our solution was to form a new two storey front extension which created a new entrance feature and included a new cut string Oak and glass staircase. The new staircase enabled the circulation throughout the house to be improved and allowed space for a new home office and shower room to be formed. To improve the energy efficiency and appearance of the house the external walls received new insulation and render finish. New high performance aluminium windows and doors were installed along with new roof windows to maximise the natural daylight and views outside. The kitchen was moved to face the rear garden with new bi folding doors for easy access.
