St Albans home extension and refurbishment. The Clients wanted to improve the kitchen layout of their St Albans home. We worked with them to evolve their brief to transform their house. The design included an open plan kitchen, dining room and family room, with separate utility room. A small snug was created using a freestanding fire to create a connected but intimate space. Large sliding doors and roof windows were incorporated to maximise natural daylight in the new rooms. As part of the works the entire house was modernised including incorporating two new ensuite shower rooms along with a new family bathroom. We provided a full architectural service for the project from evolving the initial brief and working with the Clients to find the right concept design. We secured Planning Permission and Building Regulations approval, before tendering the works to Builders. We inspected the works and administered the Building Contract through the construction process and provided services after the project was complete.
