Ingleton Wood LLP were appointed by Big Sky Developments Ltd – the development arm of South Norfolk Council - to comprehensively design and masterplan this significant residential-led urban extension of 350 homes and community facilities on a greenfield site to the west of Norwich. The Practice provided architecture and planning consultancy services, developing site-wide design codes and full architectural designs for a multi-phase development comprising 7 Reserved Matters applications, successfully achieving consent within an extremely tight programme. The scheme design seeks to establish a firm sense of place on this prominent gateway site, creating a modern and sustainable garden village.  The distinctive and contemporary architectural style addresses the sensitivities of the context and provides a network of attractive public open spaces and structural landscaping, alongside local playing fields and a community nursery and sports hall. Ingleton Wood has worked with the respective main contractors of each housing phase to deliver this high-quality development on site.
