Ingleton Wood LLP were engaged by Aletheia Academies Trust to complete a suite of surveys and assist with the preparation of Department for Education (DfE) funding applications. Since forming this partnership, we have been successful in obtaining millions of pounds of funding on behalf of the Trust as well as assisting them with managing condition related projects now that they receive School Condition Allocation (SCA) funding. This project commenced with the condition assessment of an existing end of life accommodation block at Saint George’s Church of England School and the successful receipt of funding through the Condition Improvement Funding (CIF) route for its replacement. The project scope was further increased when Kent County Council approached the Trust to expand the School with monies available to build additional accommodation from developer S106 contribution for basic need. Following a number of feasibility and option appraisals, Ingleton Wood assisted the School with scope change requests to the DfE to engineer a solution to deliver the required accommodation for the condition replacement and expansion, including suiting specialist subjects within the existing school buildings. The key driver was to maximise the investment to ensure that the project could deliver the required accommodation whilst creating inspirational educational facilities in line with the DfE standard output specifications and aspirations of the Trust. Ingleton Wood were engaged to provide a multi-disciplinary consultancy, including design, procurement, contract administration and project management through to completion. Ingleton Wood worked closely with the School and main contractor on a complex project which had multiple phases on a live school site, delivering a legacy project for this expanding and successful secondary school.
