Green Planes is a replacement house at the foot of Winters Hill at the start of the Chiltern Hills in Cookham Dean beside the Thames. For planning in the Green Belt, it is within a restricted size increase over the existing house, enhances the views in the River Thames corridor, and improves the Conservation Area. The volumes of the house are covered by three sloping planes of sedum producing a low soft roof line, which avoids the view lines of its neighbours and springs naturally from the ground. Larch cladding, naturally rendered walls and minimalist glazing are also used. Full Planning Permission has just been granted
