iArch were instructed to design a unique detached house, perched on a ridge, within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and on the edge of a Conservation Area. The design is to replace an existing post-war dwelling, and take full advantage of spectacular landscape views, looking across the valley of the River Orwell and the historic village of Pin Mill. A number of concepts were explored, facilitating extensive consultations with the Local Planning Authority, the Parish Council, numerous other statutory consults and stakeholders, and the preferred contractor and other technical consultants.
