We transformed a tired Victorian townhouse in Liverpool into a modern, multicultural family home defined by bold character and calm clarity. Working closely with an open-minded couple, HUMAN Architecture Studio delivered full RIBA Stages 1–7, reimagining the house as a flexible blank canvas enriched with beautifully crafted architectural “artefacts.” Structural upgrades included removing walls, widening openings, reinforcing masonry and introducing new bespoke windows. Collaborating with specialist joiners, we designed all windows, doors and integrated furniture, creating bright, honest spaces that balance Portuguese influence with Liverpool roots. This project remains one of our proudest achievements.
