This project saw the creation of a large replacement dwelling built within a 75 acre estate on the edge of the Forest of Bowland AONB. The house is a six bedroom private dwelling which has been designed to be a contemporary twist on a traditional building form. The innovative building structure is a combination of Oak and conventional timber frame panels, which are both highly insulated and achieve a very high air-tightness rating. The house is heated by a woodchip boiler system, which can use chippings from trees on site.
