We act as Quinquennial Inspecting Architect for St Andrews, Surbiton, and the 2016 Report highlighted the need for widespread roof renewal. Access and Logistics were extremely problematic, as many of the rear slopes could not be accessed due to proximity of boundary walls or side extensions, preventing scaffold erection. The decision was made to apply for a 4 week road closure, and use a boom lift to effect the works. The works comprised salvaging old tiles from rear elevations to repair the road frontages of the main roof slopes, and then re-tiling the rear slopes. Snow guards were fitted to prevent damage from any further slipped tiles or snow itself onto lower glazed roofs, some masonry repairs and overhaul of the clock faces on 3 sides of the tower
