The project brief was the complete restoration of a house that had been in Local Authority use for a number of years and had not been cared for. The brief called for reinstatement of period features and use of sensitive materials, suitable for a building of this age such as limewash paints and celebration of historic material that still existed. Externally uPVC windows and doors were replaced with traditional painted timber and PVC rain and soil goods were replaced with traditional painted metal.
