About the practice

The practice was set up in 2001 by Bill Horsley and Guy Townsend. The practice combines design flair with sound technical and professional competence. From significant residential projects for private clients, to the National Textile Archive at the Salts Mill World Heritage Site, the Grade 2* Listed Grantley Hall Hotel; and Blarney Castle in County Cork, Horsley Townsend's work demonstrates competence in design. Work undertaken includes one off new dwellings or significant alterations to existing dwellings; listed building work and work in conservation areas and National Parks and AONBs; cultural projects such as Blarney Castle in County Cork; buildings for the arts; schools; residential development; industrial buildings; bars, restaurants and hotels including the Grade II* Listed Grantley Hall Hotel in North Yorkshire and the Grade 1 Listed Talbot Hotel in Oundle; High end Equestrian Facilities and Stables, and offices.
