Frogston’s building design draws inspiration from the undulating landscape of the nearby Pentland Hills. It houses a 2-stream primary school and Early Years Centre, expandable to 3 streams. Holmes Miller played a key role in the inspiring learning spaces team set up by City of Edinburgh Council with educators and managers to create an innovative teaching model. The school's layout links social and play areas, replacing traditional corridors with adaptable, light-filled spaces. Outdoor spaces align with Curriculum for Excellence, prioritising greenery, water features and a focus on creating useful, educational, and stimulating spaces for primary school students.
