Vale of White Horse

£50,000 to £99,999
Alteration to existing property
Holmes Architects designed a single storey rear extension to replace an existing conservatory in Faringdon, Oxfordshire. The existing conservatory was poorly insulated and created both extremes in indoor temperatures from excessive heat that melted the children's crayons, to an extremely cold feeling when the sun was not out. The design creates a new dining and social space with an enhanced thermal performance. The completed design will feature sliding doors, and a vaulted ceiling to maximise the space within. Holmes Architects submitted the design to Vale of White Horse District Council for a Lawful Development Certificate, which is a step that we advise on small extensions, to receive confirmation that the work you are undertaking complies with permitted development rights. Holmes Architects prepared the technical design of the project, managed the tendering process and provided contract administration and site visits during construction.
