HOK International Ltd

HOK International , 90 Whitfield Street , LONDON , W1T 4EZ , United Kingdom

HOK’s has designed a new, globally-recognised research and development centre for LG that sets new international standards for a knowledge industrial complex and enhances the LG ethos of environmentally-friendly research. This unique, sustainable facility with its strong corporate identity, sense of place and attractive working environments will attract and retain the brightest and most talented researchers from around the world. LG’s primary requirements of innovative ways of working, social interaction and communication are supported by stimulating landscape and architectural design. The Science Park brings together a large body of creative knowledge which, when allied with high-quality technical facilities, creates the opportunity for synthesising and harnessing critical intellectual resources. HOK’s design allows for a single integrated lab platform philosophy of ‘science space’ rather than ‘discipline space’. This facilitates a much wider definition of cross-team collaborative work. Flexible, highly-serviced technical spaces allow the rapid organisation and support of new collaborative teams. This design approach optimises future-proofing of the technical areas, making the building is an adaptable framework for innovation and creativity.
