The Nobel Building - Phases 1 & 2 of the Colleges comprehensive masterplan strategy. HNW appointed directly by Barton Peveril College to design this scheme, then novated to D&B contractor. Working with the YPLA, EFA and Barton Peveril College to develop a new general teaching classroom block incorporating cafe and student study area. RIBA workstages B-L and Lead Consultant. Incorporates photovoltaics to achieve 15% renewable target, rainwater harvesting and sustainable drainage scheme. Proposals developed to achieve BREEAM Excellent. Phase 2 (an extension to the Nobel Building) provides additional teaching classrooms, student facilities and new Media, TV and Drama Studios. Phase 1 Construction value £2.5 million, completed 2013. Phase 2 - Currently on site.
