Rebuilding and conversion of the Grade II listed sail loft shore building to create boutique hotel accommodation and new fisherman's stores. hmad | architects have experience of working on boutique hotels, holiday lets and holiday homes for private and corporate clients. These projects involve specialist input for acoustics and interior design and we have the experience to provide the necessary design co-ordination. The project, located on the beach in Clovelly, offered a spectacular setting overlooking the north Cornwall coast. Our design involved the reconstruction and conversion of the listed historic sail loft with locally sourced materials and traditional techniques. The stylish new accommodation forms an annex to the main hotel and is partly housed within the historic building and partly in a new extension. Replacement fisherman's stores with spaces for fish processing were provided with direct access to the beach within the new extension.
