Through re-activating this historically important site which sits between Windsor town centre and Vansittart recreation grounds, HLM’s urban masterplan was able to improve the connectivity and legibility between the town and an important but highly underused leisure and amenity space. A series of 4 new office buildings were conceived, set within a wholly new public realm, which will create a new Business Enclave and its resultant economic stimulus to the town. The buildings, while adopting a controlled contemporary aesthetic are also sympathetic to their historic context; while offering tenants state-of-the-art office space fit for the 21st Century. The scheme has now achieved Planning Consent and is designed to meet and exceed BCO Standards and will similarly exceed BREEAM Excellent standards of environmental performance. The scheme also provides a café / restaurant accessible to the public on the edge of the park and car parking for use by local residents out of office hours
