The existing house was a dilapidated bungalow dating from the 1960's, the client was keen to keep the single storey element and modernise, as well as extend to create enlarged accommodation. The emphasis was energy efficiency and the house has air source heat pumps, rain water harvesting as well as being extremely well insulated to all floors, roofs and walls.
