The project provided a highly visible presence with a new entrance facing towards the village and improved access to the worship space and community areas. A new foyer, meeting room, office, kitchens and facilities were provided and the baptistry and worship space updated. The sloping floor was levelled and external areas were altered to allow disabled access. The new extensions use distinctly modern materials to contrast with the Victorian building whilst remaining sympathetic to the colour scheme. The original imposing red brick and terracotta Church remains the dominant feature of the site whilst the new light glazed areas welcome visitors to the Church.
