New Build
This private house sits on an irregular, formerly contaminated London backland site. Pavilions, clad in red standing seam metal, are grouped around a private courtyard. The pyramidal roofs with low eave lines maximise sunlight to both courtyard and adjacent gardens. Each pavilion accommodates a room. The house is arranged as an enfilade of spaces strung together. At the apex of each room a large roof light provides spectacular day light. The different pavilions follow the irregular contour of the site, allowing for an efficient use of space. The courtyard is a serene cobbled space with a reflective water feature.
