Brambletye School in East Grinstead in an independent boarding and day preparatory school for boys and girls aged 7-13½ years, situated on a large sloping site in rural Sussex. In February 2007, Hazle McCormack Young LLP were appointed to review the development plan following a competitive interview process. The key areas for alterations and developments were: 7 new additional senior classrooms, 6 new junior classrooms, a DT lab and an art room, extension of ICT networking, re-development of science and DT labs, new art and design centre, development of girls' boarding accommodation, improvements to social and recreational areas and storage spaces, Headmaster's house, improvements to parking facilities, new or completely refurbished indoor swimming pool. The 7 new additional senior classrooms, known as The Blencowe Centre, were opened on 22 October 2009. In November 2010, the building was joint winner of the RIBA Downland Prize.
