Two new houses in Broadstone, Poole on a sloping site designed to the Passivhaus standard for construction by the building contractor owner. Brick and blockwork construction with low pitched roofs a part of which to each house is a green roof. Lower floors built into the slope to provide bedrooms with main living spaces to first floors (ground floor at entry side) with balconies to the south to give distant views over the Purbecks. Projecting roofs and balconies provide solar shading to the south elevation. The houses have been certified as meeting the Passivhaus Institute Low Energy Building standard.
