We're delighted to announce we've recently received planning permission for the contemporary upgrade and extension of the 1970s family home. This is one of our biggest residential schemes to date and we are working closely with our clients to help create a more connected and stylish modern home. The design became a very contextual response to the surrounding buildings, which was developed through many exploratory massing studies which investigated what suited the site best. HSA had an early involvement with the client with quite detailed discussions about what the materials should be and how they would tie in with the original 1970 building. This led to a refined material palette being produced of the original grey brick, vertical timber details and grey render which gave the family home a contemporary twist.
