Having established a need for an additional operating theatre at the Hospital, Harper Sperring were appointed to assist the Trust prepare information for their business cases, including various proposals ranging from internal reconfigurations to a new 3 storey extension. The latter being the preferred option and ultimately that approved by the Trust, was then developed by Harper sperring, with the assistance of other design team members prior to submission to the Local Authority for planning permission. Having obtained approval, the project remains 'on-hold'.
