W3 is a new addition to King’s Cross, designed by Haptic Architects as part of the Triangle Site alongside new green spaces and residential buildings. Conceived as an intergenerational wellbeing hub, it offers a café, group-exercise gym and crèche to support community life. The three-storey timber building mediates between rail infrastructure and housing, opening onto landscaped courtyards with generous views and daylight. Its articulated, folding façade and warm timber structure create an inviting civic presence, celebrating sustainable construction and achieving BREEAM Excellent within King’s Cross’s wider regeneration.
