Repurposing and extending an outbuilding within the grounds of a Grade I listed house, the Dairy Barn has become a successful self-build project undertaken by a young family. They highly valued the seclusion provided by the walled garden setting and the opportunity to create a distinctive home that reflects the historical character of the converted building. Situated within the Plympton St Maurice Conservation Area, this site represents a positive alteration that is cherished by a vibrant community. The residents appreciate the preservation and protection offered by the Conservation Area, as well as the maintenance of its beautifully cultivated gardens. The practice assisted the self builders with the delivery stages of the project.
