This property was almost derelict and in need of a lot of work both inside and out to make it suitable as a modern home. Hampshire Architect drew up proposals to do this, whilst retaining and enhancing the character of the house. Being grade II listed, the planning officer and conservation architect were involved from the start. Separate planning and listed building applications were made for each element, including a well hidden extension, a new detached garage, a new swimming pool enclosure and many sympathetic internal alterations and window alterations. Hampshire Architect also relocated the driveway which originally led to the side of the building; now the house suddenly has dramatic kerb appeal.
