Waters Green House , Sunderland Street , MACCLESFIELD , Cheshire , SK11 6LF , United Kingdom

Hamer Way secured planning consent for a new 5-bedroom detached family dwelling in the Cheshire Green belt. Set within a challenging site surrounded by trees, we successfully demonstrated that a new dwelling would not harm the openness or character of the Green belt. The proposal sits sensitively within its context by referencing the local vernacular in a contemporary way. The proposals on the ground floor include; a generous entrance hall with feature staircase, home office, family room and living room with feature fireplace An open-plan kitchen/dining area leads to a sunroom and a terrace at the rear. On the upper floors are 5 ensuite bedrooms and a library on the landing that gives access to a balcony over the front entrance. The success of the project was the culmination of a rigorous design approach and close collaborative engagement with the local authority.
