The main body of Hamilton Road Presbyterian Church was constructed at the end of the nineteenth century in the plain gothic style ubiquitous at this time. In the 1960's the church was extended to the south of the original building to designs by the Belfast architect E.P.Lamont in a style sympathetic to the original building. The building as a whole is listed Grade B, thus requiring all proposals for refurbishment or alteration to be designed in a manner which respects and retains the original buildings historic character and interest. Phase 1 works included enlargement of the existing vestibule involving the removal of the first floor to provide a galleried entrance area, benefiting from natural light provided by the existing stained glass window above. Phase 2 just completed a new build extension to the side of the main church, providing more foyer flexible spaces, with meeting rooms, dedicated creche and offices.
