Listed Building - Grade II, Alteration to existing property
The Coach House , 29 Kedleston Road , Derby , DE22 1FL , United Kingdom
This prominent Grade II listed public building was designed by the Architect Benjamin Wilson and built in 1861 as a new Market/Town Hall in Ashbourne. Eventually, another property was purchased in the Market Place and rebuilt as the Market Hall, and the building became known as the Town Hall. The building continues to be used for entertainment and for special markets, and the Town's Council Chamber is at the rear of the building. Guy Taylor Associates has been appointed as architects for the restoration of the building. Our involvement focuses on the renovation and restoration of the stone ashlar facade of the Town Hall, including specialist stonework repairs, upgrading the entrance lobby and overhauling the historic timber sash windows.
