This project transformed a Grade II* listed country house into a modern family home while converting the adjacent Grade II listed barn into a flexible family space, including a living room, library, party room, and guest accommodation. The design carefully balances historic preservation with subtle contemporary interventions, enhancing the original architectural features. Light-touch modifications respect the listed status while creating seamless connections between old and new. The result is a sophisticated, functional family home that combines heritage charm with modern comfort, offering elegant, adaptable spaces for everyday living, entertaining, and family life in a timeless countryside setting.
