Working as Architects and Principal Designers on the scheme, we are leading the redevelopment plans that look to maximise the opportunities presented from this location, including construction of a 2-storey extension in order to add an additional 20 bedrooms at the site. Additionally, a single storey extension will house the new fish and chip takeaway, ice cream parlour and bar area, whilst the external facades, seating and landscaping will undergo comprehensive refurbishment to improve the overall appearance and experience for guests of the hotel. The 1930s hotel sits within the Cullercoats Conservation Area and will be sensitively extended and upgraded to bring the hotel back to its former glory whilst offering a more varied and higher quality of hospitality. The designs for the proposed extension have carefully considered the site context and history in order to be in keeping with the original building whilst offering accessible modern sea-view accommodation.
