A new build house made from Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) with panoramic views across the Northumberland countryside. The home takes the form of three pitched-roof structures organised as a horseshoe, creating a private walled garden in the centre. Living spaces are spread across the building’s frontage to address key views south. The sloped landscape of the valley is characterised by rocky outcrops, standing boulders and isolated stone buildings. The building is intentionally sunken into the ground and features deep stone walls to provide another stone presence in the landscape. The house is super insulated and powered by air source heat pumps, the project will achieve Passive House standards.
