gbs was appointed as architects to Radley College in September 2002. The brief was to provide a new 350 seat school theatre dedicated towards drama productions, along with back stage technical facilities, a new entrance foyer space for the theatre and existing Music School and a covered link to connect with the existing studio theatre and Modern Languages building. As a whole they combine to create a new academic centre for the dramatic arts. The multi use entrance halls are also ideal for displaying major works of art. gbs architects' relationship with Radley has spanned over 15 years which means that design continuity and integration into the school infrastructure has been an essential part of each project.
