The current premises has been in use as the YMCA since the 1940's. Over the years, a piecemeal approach to development has resulted in a rabbit warren of corridors and rooms. Grace Choi Architecture has offered a holistic review of the building, how people move, behave and need orientation to enjoy the great facilities the building can offer. Zones of the building have been significantly re-organised and clear entrance and movement through the building provided. Two new gyms, a free weights area, new cafe, training kitchen and flexible hall and meeting rooms will be transformed by the refurbishment of the building.
