Phase 1 of the schools redevelopment replaces temporary classrooms and provides accommodation for 2 reception classrooms and 4 Key Stage 1 classrooms together with shared resource areas. Each classroom has a mono pitch roof which allows natural daylight fenestration to both sides of the teaching areas and provides natural ventilation to control air quality. This arrangement also allows night time cooling to be incorporated into the design. These modular spaces are linked via a flat roofed circulation system which will incorporate toilets and other ancillary areas.
