The client, a wealthy business owner, wanted a sustainable but robust architectural design to make the most of this breathtaking site overlooking the ocean. The planning authority were also concerned that this property, adjacent to a wildlife reserve, responded to its context. The design responds to the south facing slope and incorporates innovative and integrated solar collectors in the roof, and the building itself embeds into the hillside which ensures that it maintains a low profile.
