Proposed refurbishment of a busy medical practice in Bath to improve and expand its facilities. Currently occupying the middle floor of a building owned by the Bath & West Community NHS Trust, the eight GP practice wished to expand into the upper and lower floors. gcp Chartered Architects carried out detailed feasibility studies to enable the practice to negotiate purchase of the building from the NHS Trust. The proposal is focused on improving access and facilities for patients and staff, to be achieved by environmentally friendly methods. Development work is phased to enable the continual functioning of the practice during construction work.
