At our first appointment, the 1970’s tower and podium development was half empty and seriously low in profile despite being the tallest office building in Wales. Our proposals for the podium block transformed low rental retail space into 3 prime A3 units, recladded the entire podium to enhance its public image, and refurbished the car parking. The office tower was rebranded and refurbished throughout including new lifts and high performance solar glazing to provide quality office accommodation throughout the 23 office floors. Gaunt Francis Architects are currently being engaged by the building's current owners to develop a new foyer extension at the front of the tower, providing new shared amenities and a new public face to the building to re-establish its prominent position within the architecture of Cardiff
