TCES propose to develop the  Welfare Road site in order to provide daytime education services for pupils with Behavioural, Emotional and Social conditions. The school is Ofsted registered and will operate with small class sizes of up to six per classroom, with a teacher and a teaching assistant per class. The proposal includes remodelling of the internal layout in order to provide suitable educational spaces, replacement windows, new roof lights, replacement canopy and developing the surrounding landscaping (within the site boundary) to create suitable amenity space, drop-off space and car-parking. As a school with vulnerable pupils, TCES need to ensure a safe and secure environment.
