A redevelopment of the six existing theatres and associated support facilities and the creation of a new three theatre day-case unit represents a significant investment for the hospital. Located to the south of Great Yarmouth the hospital site is exposed to marine environmental conditions and the project will not only deliver state of the art clinical facilities but will greatly improve the service life and performance of the plant equipment required to support an Operating Theatre facility with 9 theatres, recovery, pre and post op patient space and staff facilities. The construction of this project is logistically complex and is being delivered in three phases amongst a live hospital environment.
