Tonbridge and Malling

This project involved the refurbishment of an Edwardian house which had been neglected for decades; the house was in poor condition with an impractical layout, and no first floor WC. ?The first floor layout was altered to provide a relocated family-size bathroom and three bedrooms. The ground floor was enlarged with a side infill extension to provide a new kitchen-diner space and cloakroom WC, with sliding doors and frameless corner window, opening up views to the garden and a neighbouring mature tree. The flat roof incorporated a seamless rooflight and sedum blanket to increase biodiversity. Low-energy improvements included new insulation to the ground floor and loft and high-performance, composite triple-glazed sliding doors.
