The project involves the replacement of a run-down 1960s bungalow, situated in the Green Belt on the edge of the Peak District with a new, low-energy home. The house will adopt a low-energy 'fabric first' approach, and includes low carbon technologies such as Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery (MVHR), air source heat pumps and solar panels. It is on track to achieve an 'A' energy rating. Michael Groves (Fox-Groves Architecture) originally designed and secured planning permission for this house whilst at Richard Hopkinson Architects and Fox-Groves Architecture have completed the technical design. The project is currently on site and is due for completion in Spring / Summer 2023.
