Our client wanted to turn their tired 1970s bungalow into something more special. Planning restricted the height of the building but the triangular plot led us to a T shaped design. This resulted in a large open plan living area in the single storey part opening onto the widening garden, with a two storey bedroom wing to the North to take advantage of the extensive views across the countryside. The turret linked the two parts of the scheme which have different materials to break up the volumes.
